Network Partners
AIR-B is a network of researchers supported by community partners. We are decentralized and rely on our academic partner sites working together to complete our overall research goals. UCLA serves as the coordinating center and takes responsibility for completing network goals as funded by grants. All sites enroll people in studies, follow the same study protocols, and share responsibility for activities.
Each site has a leading principal investigator and a team with a wide range of skills. Each site also fosters its own community partners and brings new perspectives to AIR-B. Research is done across the country.
This means studies are completed faster and with larger sample sizes. It also creates greater diversity in participants, findings that are widely relevant, and a clearer picture of the results.
AIR-B has been divided into a series of projects, each with a new set of sites and a new research goal. If you look at past AIR-B projects, you will see that we have included many sites. These participants have helped us build community connections and advance research. Their contribution has helped shape AIR-B today.
Academic Partners
AIR-B brings together a group of investigators on the cutting edge of autism intervention research. The network has included nine research sites:
University of California, Los Angeles- Center for Autism Research and Treatment
University of Pennsylvania - Center of Mental Health Policy and Services Research
University of California, Davis - Medical Investigation of Neurodevelopmental Disorder
New York-Presbyterian Center for Autism and the Development Brain
Community Partners
AIR-B relies on community partners to guide our work on autism research and interventions.
Each site is responsible for making their own community connections. This means AIR-B has worked with diverse communities across the country. Some of our biggest partners are listed below, but we also use focus groups and interviews with the public that cannot be easily listed.
